Although we’re not going to suggest that certain industries have not taken a hit in sales and/or are working harder to stay in place, we have an interesting perspective on things at IE.  It is so refreshing to see how much “American ingenuity” is alive and well, judging by the number of start-ups we’ve met with lately – in addition to companies looking to re-focus and re-dedicate their brands. Just in the last few weeks we have talked with or started working on projects in de-salination, healthcare, green construction, global intelligence, web/tel convergence, real-estate...the list goes on.  These are people and companies with new products or a new or better way of doing something. One reads headlines about America’s woes, but from our view of the start-line there is much vibrancy, and the spirit of entrepreneurship and excellence is alive, well and thriving.  Go team!

BREN SCHOOL
The Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara once again enlisted IE to develop a powerful brochure highlighting the school’s position as a pioneer in the field of environmental science.  Keeping with the theme of the Bren School’s previous, IE-designed “Impact” brochure, the Idea Engineering creative team, working closely with Bren development specialists, crafted the second generation development piece featuring stunning imagery from award-winning photographers.

CALLWAVE
Recently, Idea Engineering developed a series of web banners for the telecommunications company Callwave.  These bold banners were created for a national online campaign highlighting new mobile communications features.

RYAN TECHNOLOGIES
Ryan Technologies, an international security technology firm, enlisted IE to develop a new logo and corporate identity that would serve the company in markets around the globe. A Chinese-inspired combination of red and gold colors in the striking logo reflect the elements of good fortune and prosperity.

SANSUM CLINIC
As part of our continuing work for our client Sansum Clinic, IE developed a new website for their Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics department.  In addition to the website, a services brochure and gift certificate were created to help convey the many spa-like attributes offered by the department. Modifications were made to Sansum’s primary visual identity to create a distinct yet related brand.

HANGAR
Hangar, which will be the Central Coast’s premier fine automobile storage and maintenance facility, selected IE to develop a new identity and website befitting the client’s market space.

We’d like to give a shout-out for a good friend of Idea Engineering, “Uncle Saul," who is the not particularly well hidden mystery man behind the entrepreneurial blog www.infochachkie.com. Check it out — there are a lot of great nuggets of info. and advice within. Here also is a link to his e-book: Max Brand – Entrepreneurs Branding Maxims.  It must be great as it liberally quotes our esteemed Creative Director, Guy Gabriele!
